Chipotle Tries to Make Amends with September “Freebies”
After last years salmonella outbreaks and problems with other food-born illnesses, Chipotle is trying to make it up to their customers. Earlier this summer they announced the Chipotia Rewards Program that rewarded loyal customers with free entrees and drinks based on the numbers of burritos they purchased. This promotion is still going through September 30th and rumor has it they are thinking of instating a permanent rewards program in the future.
The new promotion the restaurant chain is launching targets mom and dad, as well as college students.
Chipotle is offering a free kids' meal when parents purchase an adult entree. A pretty slick promotion if you think about it!
In addition to that they are offering a free beverage to students with a valid high school or college ID, with the purchase of an entree.
Not bad deals, but what about all of us who don't have a kid or are no longer in school? The least they could do is not charge us extra for guacamole.
