My sister was supposed to fly out of MSP for a conference in Florida last week.

She eventually got out, but not after a couple delays due to weather.

Let's be honest -- flight delays for any reason are a nuisance. But we rarely see or understand what's happening beyond our own sphere of control to actually appreciate the the details or work going on behind the scenes.

While my sister waited for the weather and tarmacs alike to clear up, men and women were behind the scenes doing their best to get her on the next flight out to FL.
