Central Minnesota Spring Pet Checklist
Spring has finally sprung! It's the time of year where we are cleaning our homes, doing yard work, and just enjoying being outside after a long winter. That means our pets will get to spend more time outside as well. Here are a few things to remember to keep your pets happy and healthy this spring season!
Flea and Tick Prevention - Warmer temps bring out the creepy crawlies. Wood ticks have already been spotted around our area so make sure your pet is up to date on their flea and tick preventative.
Check Your Fences - Over the winter our fence took a beating. Part of it is falling over and I don't want my dog to escape the backyard. Make sure your fenced in yard is good to go as well so the fur babies stay safe!
Check Leashes and Doggie Bags - The weather is finally nice enough for long walks. Double check to make sure your leashes, collars, and harnesses are in good working order. And don't forget to pick up after your pets!
Brush Up on Local Laws - Does your pet need to be licensed with the city? Is your pet allowed in a public park? All good things to know before adventuring out into Spring and Summer!
