While Gastric Bypass Surgery may work for some, it doesn't for others. I am not one to give weight loss advice because I for one could get my booty to the gym a lot more. Since I am not a doctor either, in my humble opinion just because you have surgery to make your stomach smaller, doesn't mean you can continue to eat unhealthy and not gain any weight back.

Carnie Wilson is a perfect example of of gastric bypass surgery "not working." Carnie first had the surgery 12 years ago and lost 150 pounds! Something to be proud of. But, since then she has gained most of the weight back and just had her second bypass surgery.

On January 18th, Carnie went back under the knife and had the lap-band surgery and has since lost 30 pounds. She tells People Magazine;

"It was the right decision for me and I'm doing really well so far.  It's all about taking good care of myself."

I hope she "learned her lesson" this time and does take care of herself. Carnie says most of her weight was put on after having two children. Not passing judgement by any means, but I don't believe there is a magic cure for weight problems. It takes hard work, dedication, motivation, and encouragement! Or really stinking good genes from the family! So Carnie, I wish you all the health in the world!!

So let's encourage those that are struggling with their weight and want the support. Now when I say encourage others I don't mean yelling rude comments at others with weight problems; that is not encouragement, but I know you wouldn't do that.

Who helps encourage you to stay fit?
