BLM Fence in Minnesota, City Says Paint Over It- It’s Political
Is this a political sign? Or is it just a statement of support? Or is it a statement of support that's political?
This sign or fence is in West St. Paul. It's gained recognition nationwide, with a lot of opinions on the matter. There is a mandate that says that any political sign (which they are saying this is) needs to come down within a certain amount of time, which has now passed. So, the city is saying that it is in violation of the sign policy.

According to Bring Me the News, this needs to be taken care of by the 15th of this month, which is in just a couple of days. But the owner, Ryan Weyandt, says he's not sure what he is going to do quite yet. There are some options he is considering.
Apparently the issue isn't just that the city considers the sign to be political, but it also violates the sign ordinance that states that it needs to be one color. And this one is obviously many, many colors.
Not only has this sign gotten the attention of many news sources and also social media sources in the U.S. and also some across the pond. In other words, it's been a big deal whether for or against. We will see what happens by the end of the week. Either way, it's gotten more attention than was probably ever expected.
