Bemidji State Professor Canoes His Way to Commencement

A Bemidji State University professor paddled his way to the graduation ceremony yesterday at BSU. Brian Donovan teaches English on the northern Minnesota campus.

He wore his cap, gown, smile, and life jacket as he paddled across Lake Bemidji to the big event on Friday at the Sanford Center.

Photos of Donovan paddling to the ceremony went viral when posted on the Bemidji State University Facebook page.

It was the 100th graduating class at Bemidji State University.
