ST. CLOUD - One of the biggest fundraisers of the year in central Minnesota is happening this Saturday. The 42nd annual "Holly Ball" is at the River's Edge Convention Center in downtown St. Cloud.

Event Chair Lily Gould says all the money raised stays in the community.

All the money that's raised stays right here in central Minnesota benefiting the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice and Coborn Cancer Center Greatest Needs fund. We're able to help people with things that insurance doesn't cover.

Last year Holly Ball raised more than $700,000, and more than $6 million has been raised over the past 41 years.

Gould says they have some new entertainment planned this year.

We're bringing in a celebrity video DJ out of Orlando, Florida. They do more of that typical visual video style. It's definitely something very new and very fun.

Gould says they'll start decorating for the event already on Thursday. It takes about 500 volunteers to pull it all together.

The sponsor dinner on Saturday night is sold out, but there are a few tickets left for the main event. Tickets are $200 each and can be bought by calling the CentraCare Health Foundation at 240-2810.
