Time to start planning next summer's vacation!

Irish airline Aer Lingus announced Wednesday that they will begin offering direct flights from MSP to Dublin next summer 2019.

According to MPR News, flights will start at 249 Euros -- or $279 at the current exchange rate -- one way; that price includes taxes and charges when booked round trip.

Dublin makes for the sixth European city to offer direct flights from the Twin
Cities and second announced this year; Delta will begin offering flights to Seoul, South Korea in April. This will be the first time Aer Lingus will service Minnesota.

If you're interested in a trip to Dublin this winter, flights are actually relatively cheap; from November through February you can fly round trip for just $595, though that does include a layover in either Chicago or Boston.

For whatever it's worth, I'd highly recommend a trip to Ireland. It was one of four stops my wife and I made on our own Europe adventure this summer, and we had a blast! You can read more about our time there and see some photos here.
