Adele made headlines with her no-nonsense response to being cut off during her acceptance speech at the 2012 BRIT Awards, but it sounds like she isn’t finished taking out her wrath on ITV, the network responsible for airing the awards ceremony.

Sources at AceShowbiz say Adele is taking things one step further by putting the kibosh on plans for her to appear at ITV’s upcoming music special — and to add insult to injury, she’s reportedly turning down an offer to appear on the ITV-aired British version of ‘X Factor‘ in favor of the BBC’s UK version of ‘The Voice.’

“Adele was embarrassed by the way she was treated in front of millions of viewers by ITV,” says an unnamed source. “By turning down a music special with the network and also appearing on its main rival’s music show she is giving them the ultimate one-fingered salute.”

ITV, to its credit, was quick to issue an apology for the awards show gaffe, saying, “We don’t want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning our night’s biggest award. The Brits is a live event. Unfortunately the program was over running and we had to move on.”

The network’s mea culpa apparently isn’t enough for Adele, however. As the source puts it, they’re only going to be sorrier: “Adele is the biggest British name in music in the world at the moment and her refusal to work with ITV will hit them hard.”
