The 6th annual Global Goes Local Conference wrapped up Tuesday at St. Cloud State University, featuring various guest speakers and events to bring to light perspectives on the immigrant experience in Minnesota. Saket Soni, executive director of the National Guestworker Alliance in New Orleans, delivered a presentation called "The New Economy: Organizing Immigrant Guest Workers and Day Laborers."

Parking on campus at St. Cloud State University may put a dent in your wallet. Beginning July 1 parking restrictions will go into effect 24-7. A student permit will be required at all times in student parking lots. Pay lots and student lots will no longer be free after 7:00 p.m. on weekdays or free on weekends.

St. Cloud State University students are fundraising for victims of the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday. The group Helping Nepal International is asking for donations inside the Atwood Memorial Center from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
