UNDATED - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for central Minnesota, including the tri-county area. It will be in effect through Tuesday evening.  Total snow accumulations could range from five to nine inches.

Meanwhile, a Winter Storm Warning has been issued for much of southern Minnesota, where they could see over 10 inches of snow.

Another wave of snow is arriving in the Twin Cities after a snowy burst snarled morning rush hour traffic.

National Weather Service meteorologist Joe Calderone says the snow should arrive around 6 p.m. Monday, right in the middle of the evening commute.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport recorded 3 inches of snow during morning rush hour. Calderone says another 2-4 inches could fall in the Twin Cities before a lull arrives later Monday night. Another swath of light snow is expected overnight through Tuesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports 145 crashes in the Twin Cities — none involving serious or fatal injuries — and 101 spinouts Monday morning.

In southwestern Minnesota , around 6 inches of snow had fallen in Luverne, Pipestone and Worthington by late afternoon while Marshall reported 5 inches.
