Four St. Cloud sisters are creating quite a "racket" in the local tennis scene. The Tarrolly sisters spend countless hours practicing together during the summer. They all started playing at a very young age, as soon as they were able to pick up a racket.
Local college students watching the Olympic games might get hooked on the sport of rowing. If you walk down to the beautiful shores of Lake Sagatagan on the campus of St. John’s University during the early morning hours this fall, chances are you’ll see the St. John’s and St. Ben’s rowing team practicing their sport.
Judo was first included as an Olympic sport in 1964, during the summer Olympics in Japan. Matt Lagou teaches Judo and Jiu Jitsu at the Downtown Gym in St. Cloud and says the sport has been picking up steam locally with the Rio Olympics.
A Foley High school student is hoping to take a step towards competing in the Olympics this weekend. 17-year-old swimmer Kasey Milstroh is competing in the Speedo Sections in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
