Brittany was ready to punch me (best case scenario) after I lost something you should NEVER lose. No, it wasn't our daughter.

That is a picture (above) of my wedding ring. I lost my wedding yesterday and then Brittany threatened to take me out. Can you blame her?

There are mornings that I flat out forget to put my ring on, I never sleep with it on, but I have a specific place my ring sets every night. Yesterday, I did put my ring on, but at some point during the day, lost it. Not good.

I remember putting it on, but then don't really think about it again. It's just on. Well, after lunch yesterday, I came back to the studio and about an HOUR later I realized I didn't have my ring on. Now, there are times were it's just uncomfortable and I take it off while typing or whatever, but I didn't see it on where I normally place it in the studio either. Panic sets in.

So, I retrace my steps, but my mind starts playing games with me saying, "you probably just forgot to put it on this morning"... "but I remember putting it on". My thoughts were my own worst enemy yesterday. I settled down, stopped worrying and just told myself "it's at home, sitting where it always sits". At this point I have convinced myself I didn't lose it and it was at home... no reason to tell Brittany, right?

Well, last night when I got home, I checked the rings normal spot. NO RING! PANIC, FREAK OUT... TELL BRITTANY, DON'T TELL BRITTANY... OH CRAP!

I told Brittany I thought I may have lost my ring. She's a calm woman, but the look on her face said otherwise... and her telling me "you better find that fricken thing" also spoke volumes.

I called a Alex (who you can catch 12:00-5:00, Sunday afternoons on MIX 94.9) who was still at the studio and I asked to check a few places. One of those places was the men's garbage can in the bathroom. I washed and dried my hands, maybe it slipped it off?

After Alex came up empty handed, I was still searching all over the house, hoping I wasn't about to take my last breath... and just by chance, I moved the ottoman by the couch and... THERE IT WAS! Half of it sticking under the couch and the other half shining bright in the light like a ray from the Heaven's was hitting.

I knew my life safe.

Friends on Facebook couldn't help but a few jabs at me, though.
