There's still a lot of summer left and there are so many great places to take the kids. Here are just a few.

Paul Bunyan Land - Brainerd, MN

Remember going someplace with your family year after year and seeing that one thing that really grabbed your attention? That's what Paul Bunyan has been doing for 55 years. He's not at Paul Bunyan Land anymore, he was actually relocated to Highway 18, but he's still a formidable figure. Play a game in the car to see who can spot him first and it's always fun to take a picture with him. Check out the ferris wheel to get a bird's eye view of the park,  The Pioneer Village with lots of great out buildings and learning opportunities and visit with Paul's Friends like Babe, Sport and Mortimer.

Canal Park - Duluth, MN

Yes, the city suffered a devastating flood earlier this summer, but most major attractions are still open, including Canal Park. There is so much to see and do in Duluth and it's all family friendly. Just in Canal Park, you can tour the S.S. William A. Irvin, take a cruise on the Vista Fleet to learn more about the lake, the city and the shipping industry, or take a train ride and have some great tasting pizza. There's also Bayfront Festival Park, and Great Lakes Aquarium within walking distance. Other attractions like the Glensheen Mansion, Park Point Beach, Brighton Beach and Enger Tower are just a short drive away.

Como Zoo and Conservatory - St. Paul

Did you know the gem of Como Zoo and Conservatory was hidden right in the midway area of St. Paul and they're open every day of the year? There are so many great attractions at the zoo. Flamingos, giraffes, penguins and zebra are all waiting to greet you when you arrive. There are also gardens, a flower show and art everywhere you turn. There's also a giant carousel, mini golf and Como Town amusement park. Here's the best part: Admission is FREE!

Where are some of your favorite places to visit in our great state?
