In 1989, 'Back to The Future ll' was released and Marty McFly went back to the future... to this very day, October 21, 2015.

The day is finally here, let's see just how well the movie predicted our technology advances...

Probably the biggest technology predicted was the tablet.

Remember this movie was made in 1989, and they had predicted the tablet would an actual functioning technology... wonder where Apple got the idea?

Technology you can wear.

In the movie, Marty and Jennifer's future children wear glasses to watch TV... much like Google Glass.

Hands Free Video games.

"You have to use your hands, that's like a baby's toy"... that's a line from young Elijah Wood's mouth in Back to The Future 2.

And today, you don't have to use your hands for all video games,  Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Kinect are motion-based video gaming. No more "baby's toys" in 2015.

Flat TV screens you hang on the wall.

Marty gets fired via flat screen for doing business with 'Needles'.

Power Laces on your shoes.

Nike has created the Power-Lacing Nike Mag.

Drones.

Early in the movie, Biff and his gang get arrested after smashing into the courthouse on hover board and a USA Today drone is on the scene in no time snapping pictures for the newspaper.

Those are a few things that 'Back to The Future ll' predicted and got right... a few (disappointing) things that were predicted wrong.

Flying cars... "Roads, where we're going we don't roads"

Hover Boards probably the most disappointing piece of technology predicted in the movie that we don't have, YET... this is pretty close.

And last but not least, the Chicago Cubs win the World Series in the film. This year, the Cubbies are in the NLCS... will the movie predict the World Series Champions?

It's not looking good as they're down 3-0 nothing in the series against the NY Mets, but it's not over.
