Your Central Minnesota’s Guide To Memorial Day Weekend Events
Here is a list of a few things you and your family can do around Central Minnesota to celebrate Memorial Day weekend and honor our fallen hero's.

Little Falls Memorial Day Program
State Veterans CemeteryIn honor of Memorial Day the State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls will be holding a special program put on by the Minnesota State Veterans Memorial Association. The program starts with an instrumental prelude, followed by the placing of Memorial Wreaths and Fallen Soldiers ceremony. Due to a high number of attendees, you're encouraged to bring lawn chairs and carpool. The program starts at 1:30 p.m.

Sartell Memorial Day Service
Veterans ParkThe Sartell American Legion Post 277 will host their annual Memorial Day Service Monday. The service will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Veterans Park on Riverside Avenue. Following the service a special dedication will take place to unveil the new Sartell Mill History project to honor the mills 5 year anniversary since it's destruction. All are welcome to attend.

St. Cloud VA Memorial Day Observance
St. Cloud VAThe St. Cloud VA will be holding a special Memorial Day service on Monday. The program will start with a parade at 10:30 a.m. followed by an outdoor ceremony in front of Building 92. This year's keynote speaker will be retired Command Sergeant Major James Kampsen. The St. Cloud Municipal Ban will provide music. The ceremony is free to the public.

Community Memorial Day Mass
Assumption CemeteryYou're invited to a community mass this Memorial Day. The Church of the Holy Spirit in St. Cloud will hold their annual Memorial Day mass at Assumption Cemetery at 9:00 a.m. You're invited to come remember those who have given their lives in service and for those serving today. If raining mass will be moved to Holy Spirit.

St. John's Memorial Mass
St. John's AbbeyYou and your family are invited to join in St. John's annual Memorial Day service at Saint John's Abbey Cemetery. A prayer service and military salute will be held to honor more than 95 deceased veterans buried at the cemetery. Throughout the weekend small American flags will be placed on each grave site.

St. Joseph Memorial Day Ceremony
St. Joseph ChurchYou can honor our fallen hero's in St. Joseph Monday with a special ceremony starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Joseph. Members of the American Legion and the families and friend of our departed veterans will hold three ceremonies at local cemeteries. The day starts with a mass at 9:00 a.m. then three memorial services at Saint Joseph, Saint John's and Yankee cemeteries. At each stop the names of the fallen veterans will be read. All are welcome to attend.

St. Cloud VFW Monument Dedication
St. Cloud VFW Granite Post 428A special memorial service will be held at the St. Cloud VFW Post 428 Monday to remember the many who have served. The VFW will dedicate the third portion of the veterans monument that was originally installed in 2015. The monument will now have 1,400 names of the men and women who have served our country. The ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. Food and drink will be available after the event.
