Minnesotans love food served on a stick. I think the stick adds a certain flavor to the dish. It just makes everything better.

County fairs and our beloved Minnesota State Fair didn't happen in 2020. It was a real heartbreaker and bummer for us. Luckily, food trucks were around to save the day a little bit for us food-on-a stick lovers.

Now, to get you through the winter, Coborn's is selling something called, 'Chickles'. What exactly are Chickles, you ask?

They're pretty much amazingness on a stick. It's breaded and deep fried chicken and pickles. Hence the whole chickles (chicken/pickles) name.

They look like golden brown kababs. It's literally everything my pallet needs right now in anticipation for food truck season to start back up.

If you're wondering how to get your hands on some, Coborn's is selling them every day in their deli between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. They describe this comfort food treat as, "the flavor combination you never knew you were missing!"

EveryYAY! Our crave-worthy Chickles are now available every day in our deli between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Minnesotans are pickle lovers...let me remind you of one of our favorite holiday appetizers--pickle rollups aka Minnesota sushi. For those of you who don't like pickles, you need to seriously reexamine your taste buds. This pairing is what dreams are made of.

So, while you wait for county fair season to get into gear, try buying or making chickles. You won't have regrets.
