What Did Your Parents Tell You Not To Buy As A Kid But You Did Anyway? [POLL]

Cap guns were all the rage when I was a kid and my mom never let my brother and I buy one. She thought they were annoying and a total waste of money.

All of the kids on our block had cap guns and they made them seem so cool! They'd run around shooting them off and having a great time. When you're an 8 year old kid, you want what all of the neighbor kids have.

So, my brother and I decided to go behind my mom's back and pool all of our birthday and Christmas money to buy cap guns. We asked some of the older neighbor kids to run to the nearest drug store and grab us two cap guns and as many caps as our money would buy. We went hog wild shooting off our cap guns at our friends houses. It was glorious.

Because moms are actually superheros, she ended up finding out what we did and she was so mad at us. But, for some reason she didn't take them away from us. She let us keep our caps and cap guns but we were grounded for sneaking behind her back.
