If you've ever flown, you know that there are strict rules to follow.

You can use your laptop and other electronics after the cabin has signaled it's ok to. You can get up out of your seat to stretch or use the lavatory after the seatbelt sign has been turned off. You cannot bring liquid through security, but you can purchase a drink once you're through and bring it on your flight.

Apparently this guy didn't get the memo -- or didn't care -- that smoking on a flight is a big no-no.

On May 21, 2019 an unnamed woman was flying to Minneapolis, MN when the man next to her lights up a cigarette and begins smoking.

"I boarded a flight to Minneapolis, MN at 8:30 a.m," she shares in the video's caption on Youtube. "This man was in my seat, and I thought he might be inebriated. Once everyone boarded the plane I got in my assigned seat an realized his seat was next to mine. I breathed in deeply, but told myself that I wouldn’t be that person to treat him differently."

Things got weirder, though, as the flight went on.

"Throughout the flight, I could hear him making loud outbursts. Roughly 40 minutes before we landed, he laid across the two seats with his butt towards me. He continued his loud outbursts and began aggressively flipping the tray open and closed, then he sat up."

That's when the man pulled out a cigarette, lit it and began smoking.

"I pulled out my phone and started to record as he lit the cigarette. The man across from us became nervous and flagged the attendant down as I recorded. The attendant put the cigarette out on the tray and took his boarding pass."

The woman concludes that there were no more issues from the man after that, though he was removed by airport police once they landed.

What's the strangest thing you've ever seen on a flight?
