Vikings Set to Meet With Adrian Peterson Today, Trade Away QB For Draft Picks [POLL]

The Minnesota Vikings Head Coach, Mike Zimmer and Vikings GM, Rick Spielman, are meeting with A.P. in Houston today. The Vikings also have agreed to a trade with the Buffalo Bills sending Quarterback Matt Cassel to Buffalo for undisclosed draft picks.

After missing nearly all of last season while addressing child abuse charges in Texas, Coach Zimmer and Spielman hope to convince A.P., the 2012 NFL M.V.P., that the Vikings organization DOES have his back and wants to see him back in purple next season.

Mike Zimmer is huge on Peterson and really believes with A.P. lining up in the backfield, that the team has a real shot at the playoffs. I agree with Zimmer.

I want A.P. back in a Vikings uniform next season. Peterson is a phenomenal player! I don't consider what he was facing criminal charges for to be "o.k." by any means, but I do feel after missing last season and going through the criminal court processes, that he deserves another opportunity to do what he loves in life.
