As of Monday, they were 3000 tickets short of reaching the 'prescribed NFL televised game mark', but a TV blitz by the Vikings in the past two days seems to have done the trick.  The Vikings announced earlier today that their Noon game versus Denver this Sunday will be televised.

It seems like it happens every year about this time, and they always seem to pull it out at the last minute (in STARK contrast to their actual game-play). The last time the Vikes had a blackout of a home game was 1997. This marks the 142nd straight home game sell out for the Purple People Eaters.

Just because they're 2 and 9 doesn't mean you can't enjoy the game. You could root on former Golden Gopher wide receiver Eric Decker or maybe you can just hope that Jared Allen crushes Tebow a couple of times.

That's why I'm watching. I figure I'll mark that as 10 points in my own twisted fantasy football league.
