Valleyfair in Shokopee, Minnesota will be opening up for the first time since 2019 on May 22, 2021. This year, they plan to come back with a bang!

The theme park announced they're hosting their largest event ever by bringing Grand Carnivale to Valleyfair. It's a huge 16 day cultural celebration that's the first of its kind for the park.

It was originally planned to happen in 2020, but the pandemic had other plans for them. According to Valleyfair's website, the event kicks off on July 24th and will go through August 8.

They described the event as "A fanciful fusion of extravagantly decorated floats, mesmerizing street performers and pulsing rhythms, Grand Carnivale promises to enchant and delight - especially as the day slips into ight and the sky radiates with a dazzling array of lights that takes on a life of its own."

There'll be a huge parade full of color, costumes, music and more! In addition to the grand parade, there's a huge street party with performers and you'll be able to try some of their 'world-class' food from cultures from around the world.

The theme park promises that 'foodies will rejoice at the wide variety of scrumptious flavors and enchanting aromas." Yes, please, that sounds amazing!

Essentially, it's one huge party you don't want to miss. Valleyfair also posted a video to their website to give people an idea of what they're in for, and it looks awesome!

If you're planning to vacation to Valleyfair this summer, I'd make sure to plan it during Grand Carnivale. You can find more information on Valleyfair's website.
