Adopt a Valentine with Whiskers For Just $14 From TCHS!
You can’t buy love...but you can adopt it. And I say that with complete confidence, because two of my cats came from Tri-County Humane Society.
When I adopted my first cat, I thought I was just bringing home a pet. What I actually brought home was a tiny roommate with a big personality who quickly became part of my daily routine.
MR. BEAN CHANGED OUR LIVES
Mr. Bean has been with my family ever since we moved back to Minnesota in 2013. He was 7 when we brought him home, and now he's around 19 years old. From morning meows demanding breakfast to curling up beside me at night, that cat changed the entire feel of my home.
Not long after, I went back to TCHS and adopted a second cat named Pnuema, because once you experience that kind of companionship, it’s hard not to want more of it. Pnuema is probably about 9 years old now and is a beautiful striped long-haired beauty.
FEBRUARY FEELS EXTRA-SPECIAL
That’s why this February feels extra special. Through Feb. 14, Tri-County Humane Society is offering a Valentine-themed adoption special: all adult cats 6 months and older can be adopted for just $14 (tax and administrative fee not included). It’s a small price for something that can completely change your life and theirs.

IT'S THE PURR-FECT TIME TO ADOPT
If you’ve ever thought about adopting a cat but hesitated, this is a perfect time to visit. Adult cats are often overlooked in favor of kittens, but they offer many advantages.
Their personalities are already developed, they’re usually calmer, and many of them want a warm lap and a safe place to call home. My cats were already past the kitten stage when I adopted them, and they’ve been nothing but loving, entertaining, and comforting companions.

AN EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCE
Walking into Tri-County Humane Society can be emotional. You see rows of cats waiting for someone to notice them, to stop, to say, “You’re coming home with me.” Each one has a story, and each one is hoping for a second chance. Adoption doesn’t just give you a pet...it gives an animal a future.
A SPECIAL KIND OF LOVE
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s hard not to think about love in all its forms. Romantic love is wonderful, but there’s something uniquely special about the quiet love of a cat who chooses to sit next to you, follow you from room to room, and greet you at the door when you come home.
As I said in the beginning, you can’t buy love...but you really can adopt it. Your next best friend might be waiting for you at Tri County Humane Society, ready to steal your heart for just $14.
