Twin Cities Traffic Might Be Nightmarish This Weekend
The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced that they'll be shutting down parts of I-35W in both directions this weekend. It'll most likely cause major traffic delays as there's a lot happening in the Twin Cities area during that time.
The Minnesota Vikings are set to take on the Detroit Lions at US Bank Stadium Sunday afternoon. The Minnesota Twins start their three game series against the Detroit Tigers this evening at Target Field...and the Minnesota Wild play the Dallas Stars Saturday night at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Those are just a few of the major events happening this weekend that are expected to contribute to the delays.
The interstate is expected to reopen Monday morning at 5 a.m. Alternative routes and detours will be posted in the area.
