Twin Cities Home Has Over 130 Showing Requests In 24 Hours
We've all heard that the housing market is competitive, and that might be an understatement. It's CRAZY right now.
As a former Realtor myself, I'm fascinated by what's going on in real estate. It's a total seller's market. I've heard that some people are opting OUT of a home inspection in the Twin Cities area to make their offers more attractive to sellers.
Here's my first piece of advice...NEVER do that. Always, always, ALWAYS get a home inspection. You need to know what you're getting yourself into. Trust me.
The market is so competitive right now that Bring Me The News reports that one Twin Cities home had 133 'non-overlapping' showing requests in 24 hours. That's just NUTS! The sellers would basically need to put themselves up in a hotel for the week to fulfill that many showings.
The home with so many showing requests is being sold by Joey Oslund with Remax Results. It's located at 9809 Colorado Circle in Bloomington. Looking through the photos, I did notice that the home is well-decorated, very open concept and clean looking with lots of natural light.
According to Zillow, the house was built in 1977 and is going for $400,000. It includes 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and nearly 3,000 square feet of finished space. It's easy to see why so many people want to see it in person.
My sister-in-law is looking for a home right now. She found one that she was interested in and her agent suggested that she offer $20,000 over the asking price to make her offer attractive to the seller. SAY WHAT?! That's just craziness in my opinion. I told her, that if I were in her shoes, I'd rent awhile and see what happens in a few months. But, that's just me.
What a great time to sell your home and what a horrible time to be in the market for a new one. It's just craziness!
