Tri-County Humane Society Pet Patrol: Rooster, Flash, and Piper
Piper
Piper is at Tri-County Humane Society - but we bet not for long! (Just look at how cute she is.) This 1-year-old spayed Jack Russell Terrier mix is a very active girl, and she’ll need a household that can keep up with her! She’s very sweet and loves attention from almost anyone. Piper would do best as an only dog, but she’s done well with cats in the past. Piper has been working on house-training, but was trained to use puppy pads. A consistent outside schedule will help her adjust to traditional house-training. Piper is not very reliable off-leash, and she’ll run if given the chance; she’ll need a close eye when she's outside. She’s not had a ton of interaction with children, but she does startle easily, and can get territorial over high-value treats such as bones, so she may do best with older children. Piper will play with any toy that has a squeaker.
Rooster and Flash
Now this is just too cute - it looks like Rooster (left) and Flash are recreating the spaghetti scene from “Lady and the Tramp,” only with Timothy Hay. These two 9 month old male guinea pigs are bonded so they need to be adopted together. They would love plenty of supervised time outside of their cage to stretch their little legs! Check out the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe for your guinea pig-related supplies.
