This Song Has Been Haunting Me For Years

I knew all the words to this song years ago. I probably played it over and over again while going through teenage heartbreak. Sigh. But over the past ten years or so, part of the lyrics kept going through my head. I couldn't remember the artist, or the name of the song, or enough lyrics to look it up. It drove me crazy. And then........

I got into my car on Saturday morning and tuned into one of Casey Kasem's countdowns from years ago. And there was the song. I couldn't believe it. After years of haunting my dreams, there it was, playing on my car radio. And as a bonus, when I found it on youtube, I also found another Gene Cotton song (with Kim Carnes) that I absolutely loved back in the day, and hadn't heard since. Enjoy......
