You can enjoy some family fun at the Sherburne County Fair, have some food and games in Foley at Party in the Park, catch a movie at Whitney Park, share some laughs with Jason Schommers comedy show and celebrate your loved ones with the Memorial Butterfly Release at Music in the Gardens. Sherburne County Fair
Elk RiverIt’s fair time again in Sherburne County as their annual celebration kicks off in Elk River today (Thursday). You and your family can enjoy all the fun there is to offer like meeting Minnesota Viking Cheerleaders, rides and games in the carnival area, tractor pulls, demo derby, live music, parade and tons of fair food. Gates open as early as 7:00 a.m. (with the carnival starting at noon) and go until Midnight. The Sherburne County Fair runs Thursday through Sunday and you can get tickets at the gate for just $3. The Sherburne County Fairgrounds are located on the west side of Elk River on Highway 10.

Party in the Park
FoleyEnjoy food, music, friends and fun in Foley tonight (Thursday). Holdridge Park is hosting Party in the Park -with a Movie. The night includes food vendors, face painting, Bounce Houses, BB Gun Range, and live music by Big D. The evening concludes with the movie Field of Dreams starting at dusk, so bring your blankets or lawn chairs. The starts at 5:00 p.m. and is free to attend.

Under The Stars Movie Series
Whitney Memorial ParkGrab a blanket and a friend and head out to Whitney Park tonight (Thursday) for the second edition of the Under the Stars Movie Series. This months movie is the Secret Life of Pets. Seating will open at 7:30 p.m. and the film will start at dusk. There will also be concessions available for purchase. The event is free to attend and fun for all ages.

Memorial Butterfly Release
Munsinger Clemens GardensIt's a special “Music in the Gardens” this weekend down by the Mississippi River. Quiet Oaks Hospice House is holding their Memorial Release of the Butterflies before the concert. The butterfly release is a special way to honor and remember those loved ones who have left us this past year. The program starts at 2:00 p.m. with the concert starting at 3:00 p.m. featuring Dennis Warner and the Ds. If you would like to participate in the butterfly release you can order your butterflies in advance at www.quietoakshospicehouse.org.

Starstruck with Jason Schommer
Paramount TheatreLocal comedian Jason Schommer is back for another show at the Paramount Theatre this weekend. "Starstruck" with Jason Schommer is an hilarious reenactment of Schommers life growing up in Little Falls and his journey to New York City, Las Vegas and Hollywood. There will even been some mention of what celebrities told Jason on his journey to the top. Tickets for the show are $8.00 with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.
