The United States of America is getting a new slogan thanks to a $200 million dollar campaign set to launch in 2012. I don't know who came up with it. Though the new slogan is true, does it make the country sound like it's run by 13 year olds?

The United States of America's official motto is "In God We Trust". Our traditional motto is "E Pluribus Unum" or "Out of Many, One." I happen to think that we live in the greatest country in the world and I'm fine with our current motto, however, the brain trusts behind the new ad slogan don't think it's a good way to tell foreign visitors just how fantastic our country is, so they came up with a new way to boost tourism.

The new slogan is "The United States of Awesome Possibilities." It's intended to boost tourism, business and the U.S. economy and it's going to be everywhere thanks to the new ad campaign. To go along with the new slogan, there will also be a new website, DiscoverAmerica.com.

The site hasn't officially launched just yet, but some media members got a sneak peek and here's what the website says about Americans and our culture: ATM's charge fees, health care costs a fortune and make sure you shower because "Americans are fanatical about that."

So, in summation, bring cash, don't get sick and you're welcome here so long as you don't smell.
