
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Issues Air Quality Alert For St. Cloud & Central Minnesota
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency issued an air quality alert for central and northeast Minnesota through 9 a.m. Tuesday, August 21.
According to the MPCA, a narrow but thick band of wildfire smoke from British Columbia is hovering above central and northeastern Minnesota. Fine particles are in the air and considered to be unhealthy for some people including; people with lung disease, heart disease, children and older adults or anyone active outdoors.
The smoke is expected to move south and be cleared out of the state by 9 a.m.
