Do you ever get the feeling that award shows are more about how much skin you are showing off versus what song you are performing on stage?

This weekend is all about music and the Grammys. They air on CBS this Sunday night and CBS decided to send out an email to all those attending a little warning about their attire.

"Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered . . . thong-type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare, fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples."

Thank you CBS. For the most part its the females that show off way too much when they are performing, some are guilty of too much cleavage on the red carpet. That is one thing that I am not a fan of about the evolution of music. It's more now about looks and what you are wearing, or lack there of, versus what the song is about and how you sound as a performer. I get that it's probably easier to do your dance moves with your entire leg exposed, but I don't really want to see the back of your butt when you turn around.

There is more to the email too. You can read the entire email at Deadline.com

What do you think? Is it time for less skin and more music?
