The Concert I Was At Went Too Long…Is There Such A Thing As Too Much Of A Good Thing?
This country girl was a little bit of a rock fan last night. I took my dad to the Guns N Roses concert at US Bank Stadium for his 45th birthday. It was so awesome to see a production of that size in the new stadium.
My dad was in rock heaven as GNR is his all time favorite band. He has been to every single Guns N Roses concert to ever come to Minnesota. Knowing that this was most likely their final stop in the Twin Cities ever, it made the night that much more memorable.
The show started early, which is something that this early riser really appreciated. I really thought that meant I'd be able to get home at a reasonable time last night, but the concert went VERY long. The band took the stage around 8:45 p.m. and didn't wrap up their set until around midnight.
I mean, seriously! It was a super long show with TONS of guitar solos from Slash. My attention level peaked around two hours and then I was completely checked out after that. Maybe I'm just getting old. I like cake, but too much of it can be a bad thing. How long do you think concerts should last before they become too much?
