The Favorite Thanksgiving Side in Central Minnesota is…
Every year, nationally, there is a poll taken regarding what is everyone's favorite side dish at Thanksgiving. This is also done at Halloween, and the results for that holiday said that the favorite candy in Minnesota for Halloween is Hot Tamales. Huh?? I did not agree with that, but they also never asked me. That's been the same result for 2 years now, that I know of. Do you know of anyone who gives out Hot Tamales for Halloween? I haven't even seen those in the stores... odd.

NATIONAL POLL SAID MINNESOTA LIKES THIS SIDE DISH
As far as Thanksgiving side dishes go, the National poll said the most popular side dish in Minnesota was mashed potatoes or a Charcuterie Tray. Now, I am on board with either of those two things! Last year was Deviled Eggs. Those are great, too!
WHAT CENTRAL MINNESOTA HAD TO SAY
So, taking our own poll, we found out that most people here in this building also love mashed potatoes. GIVE ME THE TATERS!! Some people loved the stuffing too, and the big loser on the side dish poll was the Green Bean Casserole. If so many people dislike that, why is it always there? I'm find with green beans, I just don't need all that other soupy stuff. Just give me some seasoned and steamed green beans.
This was a very informal poll. But to the person who said rutabaga, my mother would be so pleased with that one. She would make them every year, and basically no one liked them but her. I think one of my brothers may have tolerated it, but I was a definite NO!
DO YOU GO FOR THE POTATOES AND THE STUFFING
For people who loved the potaotes and the stuffing, do you eat both of them? I get that it's Thanksgiving and people tend to endulge more than they usually would, but it honestly seems like a lot of the same thing. Remember the old commercials "stuffing instead of potatoes". I would do the reverse, but that's me.
AND get me the appetizers!!! Although this will probably be the only meal I eat on Thanksgiving. Too much at once. But let's all be thankful for what we have. That's the name of the game, right?
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
