I love stories that show what we can all do when we work together towards a great cause. We had one of those moments earlier this week.

Tri County Humane Society sent out an urgent plea last week for cat food. When you've got cats coming in non-stop, sometimes supplies can run out unexpectedly. That's what happened at TCHS.

THANK YOU FOR SHOWING UP

The Tri County Humane Society said that they really were at a desperate point, and then, as expected, the animal-loving community showed up to help.

The surprise wasn't that they showed up to help bring in cat food...the surprise was HOW MUCH cat food was collected in just a short period of time.

2,000 POUNDS OF CATFOOD COLLECTED

2,000 pounds of cat food were collected in just a few days. That cat food can now be used both in-house and for their free 'Pet Food Pantry', which is for those people who are finding themselves in a difficult time, and can't afford to buy food for their pets. It's a great program to help keep pets in their loving homes when financing becomes difficult, and there's no extra money for pet food.

TCHS SENDS OUT A HEARTFELT THANK YOU

In a recent social media post, TCHS said, "Thank you to everyone who ordered and shipped food, thank you to the numerous people who came in and dropped off food, thank you to those who purchased food from our Re-Tail Shoppe and donated it back, and thank you to everyone who shared the posts. We'll be grateful to you every time we top off a kitty's dish - and we know they're grateful, too, even if they choose to knock that dish over! We know we'll have to ask again eventually - funny thing about cats, they just keep eating! But for now, we're just going to be thankful. Thank you."

It was amazing to see a post where EVERY SINGLE COMMENT was positive...over 1,000 people commenting or leaving a like.
