Target Hosting September Car Seat Trade-In Event

If you've got littles at home that are outgrowing their car seats, this is an event you'll want to be part of.

Target is hosting their annual car seat trade-in event where you can recycle your old car seat at a Target drop box location and get 20 percent off your purchase of a new car seat, stroller or other select baby items. It sounds pretty awesome, right?

Here's what you should do. Step one is, you'll want to bring your car seat to a Target drop box location. You can call your Target store ahead of time to find out where that is. Next, download the Target App and scan the code located on the drop box. Your 20 percent off coupon will automatically pop up in your Target App wallet under 'extra offers'.

To redeem your 20 percent off coupon, make sure to click on the green check mark. You can use your coupon in-store or online.

According to Target's website, they've helped recycle 14.4 million pounds of car seats since they've been running their program.

The event officially gets underway on Sunday, September 13 and goes through Saturday, September 26.
