It's a pretty awesome program that can save you some serious cash if you're in the market for things your kids and family need. The cool thing is, your old car seat can been in rough condition and they'll take it. They're also taking infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats and car seats that are damaged and expired.

Yes, car seats expire. Make sure you're not using an expired car seat for your child. This might be a great opportunity for you to get a new one.

Anytime between Monday, April 5 and Saturday, April 17 you can bring in your old car seats to any Target store. They'll have drop-off boxes for you to use by the Guest Services desk.

When you trade in your car seat, you'll get a 20% discount toward the following things;

  • New car seat
  • Car seat base
  • Travel system
  • Stroller
  • Select baby gear (playards, high chairs, swings, rockers and bouncers)

According to Target's official press release, you'll need to make sure you've got Target Circle to participate. When you drop off your car seat, there's a scan sheet you'll want to scan from your phone or other mobile device. The coupon will go into your Target Circle app.

Target's press release also mentions that guests are allowed to redeem two car seats. You'll be able to get the discount twice. How awesome if you've got several car seats laying around.

Your discount coupons will be good through May 1, 2020.
