John and Cindy Fuls of Sauk Rapids say a pair of milestones makes the timing feel right.

I would say, once we hit that million mark, it really filled my heart, and I felt it was maybe time to start discussing things.  John was more interested that we get to that 15-year mark, which we will get to both of them.

Tanner's Team surpassed the $1 million mark in grants awarded back in May.

Cindy Fuls says she's grateful for going over $1 million.

Absolutely, I remember when we hit $100,000 and that was huge, and then we hit $500,000 and it was incredible, and here we are right now at $1.2 million.

They expect to be around $1.5 million in grants when they officially dissolve in June. June of 2026 will also be their 15 anniversary.

We did what our mission was, to help families in Central Minnesota when they needed it most.  And, to keep Tanner's legacy alive at the same time.  The support that we've received from the community, other organizations, businesses, and families - anybody that's ever donated to Tanner's Team Foundation.

The number of families helped by the organization is well over 600, with several families receiving multiple grants.  Tanner's Team was started to honor John and Cindy's son Tanner, who passed away 15 years ago at the age of 11 years old.

In the meantime, they are still accepting donations if you want to support them one final time. They are still accepting grant applications as well. You can find more information on the Tanner's Team Foundation website and Facebook page.
