Inflation continues to be in factor for Central Minnesotans with so many products and services going up in price. St. Cloud State Economist and Dean, School of Public Affairs King Banaian joined me on WJON. He indicates the latest ADP report, which processes paychecks, shows wages went up 7.7% and Banaian says inflation is up 8%.

Local businesses will have the chance to learn about childcare resources they can provide their employees at an event in St. Cloud this week.

Central Minnesota employers continue to deal with a worker shortage. Gail Cruikshank is the Talent Director for the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation. She says employers and organizations like hers are working to not only retain the workers they have in the community but to sell possible employees on relocating to the St. Cloud area.

The labor shortage in Central Minnesota is "real". That according to St. Cloud State Economist and Dean, School of Public Affairs. He joined me on WJON today. Banaian says the shortage could actually be getting worse.
