This week in our "Behind the Scenes" series on WJON, we preheat the ovens and begin cooking 36,000 chicken wings for WingFest on Saturday. Before the feasting can begin a week long cooking spree starts for the staff at Shortstop Custom Catering.
This Wingfest 2014 was my first go round. I was helping collect tickets for some of this years contenders, when my co host Chad come up to my booth with a tray, begging for wings!
Wingfest is always one of my favorite events of the year. Not just because I get to dress up like the Gold n' Plump Chicken and dance around like a fool all night - but because the food is awesome! And I love chicken wings!
