Some central Minnesota veterans are now eligible for VA benefits earlier than expected.

Central Minnesotans will have a chance to get rid of their old prescriptions this weekend.

The St. Cloud V.A. is undergoing some major construction. Public Affairs Officer Barry Venable from the St. Cloud V.A. joined me on WJON. He says this process will impact the whole of the VA Medical campus site for the next 2 years.

A central Minnesota organization has earned top honors for sustainable health care practices.

The St. Cloud V.A. is offering COVID-19 booster shots for veterans by appointment only right now. Barry Venable is the Public Affairs Officer from the St. Cloud V.A. He says veterans 18 and over who received their last Moderna COVID-19 vaccination 6 months ago or later are eligible for a booster.

Central Minnesota veterans will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on their healthcare this week.

The St. Cloud VA is offering both drive thru and walk up flu vaccinations for veterans this fall. The drive thru flu shots will be held in the MAC parking lot September 28-30 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Brainerd will be hosting drive thru flu shots September 22-23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be in-person and virtual Memorial Day ceremonies held at the state and local levels on Monday.

Veterans in central Minnesota will have a few different options when looking to get a flu shot this fall.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Memorial Day will be observed a little differently in central Minnesota.
