The 2022 MSHSL Girls Basketball State Tournament has come to an end, and one central Minnesota team is coming home with some hardware.

The St. Cloud Norsemen and Granite City Lumberjacks notched Friday wins, while the Minnesota Twins could not get the job done in a spring training matchup against Atlanta. On Saturday, the Gopher men's hockey team will face Michigan in the Big Ten title game, and the St. Cloud State baseball and softball teams, St. Ben's softball team, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Minnesota Wild will all return to action.

The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team is headed to their fourth straight NSIC semifinals, the Gopher men's hockey team swept Wisconsin, the SCSU men's hockey team swept Colorado, the St. Ben's softball team earned two wins, and the Lumberjacks got back on track Saturday. The SCSU softball team earned a split, and the SCSU baseball team, St. Cloud Norsemen, and Minnesota Wild all came up short in their matchups. On Sunday, the Gopher men's and women's basketball teams will take the court as their seasons wind down, and the SCSU men's basketball team will look to keep their postseason hopes alive.

A central Minnesota dance team is returning home with some hardware after competing in the MSHSL Dance Team State Tournament Friday and Saturday.

Three central Minnesotans are being honored for their work in sports at an event in St. Paul on Wednesday.

The Minnesota Wild, SCSU men's hockey team, St. Cloud Norsemen, and Granite City Lumberjacks completed weekend sweeps, while the SCSU women's basketball team and Gopher men's basketball team also notched wins on Saturday. The Gopher men's hockey team and SCSU men's basketball team each came up short. The Minnesota Timberwolves and Gopher women's basketball team are getting ready for their Sunday matchups as well.
