A proud moment for Sartell-St. Stephen as eight seniors take their next steps in sports—college awaits, and the excitement is palpable.

Sartell-St. Stephen High School recognized 13 student athletes who have committed to play a sport in college starting in 2025-2026.

The St. Cloud Crush narrowly defeated Sartell-St. Stephen 142.925 to 142.100 in the Section 8AA gymnastics section meet last weekend to qualify for the Class AA State Meet this Friday and Saturday at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul.

Today is spring signing day and 17 senior student athletes have committed to participate in college sports starting in the 2024-2025 school year.

Both the Sartell-St. Stephen and Sauk Rapids-Rice boys basketball teams saw their seasons come to an end Wednesday night in the Section 8-4-A quarterfinals. The Sabres lost at top seeded Rogers 60-44 while Sauk Rapids-Rice fell at home to 5th seeded Moorhead 73-72 Wednesday night.

It was a special day for eight Sartell-St. Stephen seniors as they signed their college letter of intent.

The Sartell-St. Stephen baseball team is headed back to the Class 4-A State Tournament after capturing the Section 8-4-A Title in Cold Spring Thursday afternoon. The Sabres beat Rogers 8-3, a 2nd game wasn't necessary.

The State swimming & diving meet will take place Thursday - Saturday at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on the University of Minnesota campus.

Two central Minnesota high school dance teams made it to the final round of the jazz competition at the state tournament Friday.

Sartell-St. Stephen athletics has experienced success in numerous activities over the years. Many of those athletes signed letters of intent to continue participating in athletics at the college level starting next year.

St. Cloud area swimmers competed with the best in the state over the weekend.
