The National Weather Service says St. Cloud officially had 1.41 inches of rain on Tuesday morning. The measurement is taken at the St. Cloud Regional Airport.
With the rainfall we had over the weekend, we've now had just over a half-inch of rain in St. Cloud so far this month. We're still 2.27 inches below normal for the month. This is our third driest August on record so far with just .42 inches in 1933, and .46 inches in 1950. Our fourth driest was .60 inches in 1976.
The National Weather Service says we officially had just .27 inches of rain in St. Cloud on Saturday. That brings us to .29 inches for the month of August so far.
The latest Outlook has most of central and southern Minnesota, as well as west-central Wisconsin under a slight risk of severe thunderstorms on Saturday.
We had a few thunderstorm warnings early Wednesday morning in central Minnesota. The National Weather Service issued warnings for parts of Stearns, Meeker, Todd, and Kandiyohi counties.
