The Oscars can be very confusing and frustrating. So, if you're looking for an alternative, look no further than the MTV Movie Awards, which unveiled their 2015 nominations today. Oddly, they too are confusing and frustrating, albeit for completely different reasons.

Ellie Goulding and Zedd took the stage tonight at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards to perform two songs off of the 'Divergent' soundtrack: Goulding sang a stripped-down rendition of her tune 'Beating Heart,' which transitioned seamlessly into the more upbeat Zedd song 'Find You.'

Eminem and Rihanna certainly brought the energy with their power-packed performance of 'The Monster' at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. The Detroit rapper and Barbadian beauty rocked the mic as they sang and rapped one of the biggest (and best) songs of 2014.

Zac Efron and his sun-kissed abs in 'That Awkward Moment' may have won him the golden bucket of popcorn for Best Shirtless Performance at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, but it was the blonde British singer who gave us all a treat by ripping off his blue button-down shirt to reveal his award-winning body at the awards ceremony.

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards winners, though by no means as hyped as, say, the 2013 Oscars, are a fun affair nonetheless. Most of the awards, with exceptions to the "specialty" categories, are voted on by the fans, which means many of the titles that got snubbed during awards season now have another chance for the recognition many believe they deserve.

Last night while watching the MTV Movie Awards, I got the feeling I was a little to old to be watching. It seemed MTV was trying to target and older crowd with all the sexual jokes, when your fan base has no idea that MTV stands for Music Television and used to air music videos, you may want to keep it kid friendly.
