Tick season is upon us and the Minnesota Department of Health is reminding you that some of them can transmit diseases.

Central Minnesota is actually one of the most likely places in the state to contract Lyme Disease, the most common tick born illness.

Tick season is back, and state health officials are reminding you to take precautions if you're going into wooded or long grassy areas where they thrive.
