When Woody Harrelson was revealed to be hosting ‘SNL’ just a few days before the new ‘Hunger Games’ movie was set to open in theaters, it was obvious that the massively popular franchise would, somehow, figure into at least one sketch. Surprisingly, that ended up being the opening monologue, which featured Harrelson performing his own version of Taylor Swift's ‘1989.’ With a little help from some friends.
We hate to disappoint, but if you've ever thought you were speaking to Jennifer Lawrence on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or any form of social media -- you definitely weren't.
One of the people we haven't seen a whole lot of in the more recent trailers for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' is Peeta. Yes, we saw him in those earlier "message from Capitol" teasers, all in white with President Snow and Joanna, but the trailers for the latest installment of Katniss' harrowing journey have been mostly absent of her bread-making friend. A new Internet teaser clip has been released featuring Donald Sutherland (President Snow) and Josh Hutcherson (Peeta) in a promo video for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1,'

The tie-in promotional hit single hasn't been as popular/successful as it once was outside of the Bond movies (anyone remember the Soundgarden song in 'The Avengers'?), but that's not stopping 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' from featuring the new single from Christian Aguilera. To help sell the movie (and the song "We Remain") there's a brand new TV spot.
While this weekend's all-new 'SNL' installment featuring 'Scandal' star Kerry Washington and musical guest Eminem will prove an episode to watch, its forthcoming lineup is really on fire. Not only has Lady Gaga been confirmed to both host and perform in the subsequent installment, but the week to follow will see 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' star Josh Hutcherson take the stage!
The final trailer for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' debuted tonight during the fourth game of the MLB World Series, and it's pretty awesome. In the upcoming sequel, as Donald Sutherland's President Snow teases in voice over, Katniss will go from playing mere games to full-out war when she and Peeta are targeted to compete in a new and deadly tournament.
It's been mentioned that 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' would focus more on the love triangle between Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth), and the first TV spot plays that up by adding a Coldplay song to the background.
We get our first look at Connor Cruise, son of mega star Tom Cruise. It seems his son is following in his famous father's footsteps and isn't half bad either.
