The holiday's are upon us and there are plenty of yultide events around Central Minnesota in this weekend. You can meet Santa at KringleFest, enjoy the annual tree lighting celebration in St. Joseph, listen to some holiday music at the Mosaic of Joy and the George Maurer Holiday Trio and enjoy a Christmas classic come to life on the stage with GREAT Theatre. GREAT Theatre is closing out their 2015-2016 season with a bang, bringing Grease to the Paramount Theatre stage the next three weekends.

You'd be an April Fool if you don't check out what's going on this weekend, with tributes to influential artists like Jackson Browne at Pioneer Place and Janis Joplin at the Ordway, GREAT Theatre kicks off their final show of the season with Grease at the Paramount, the unique mime/dance/puppet show of Teatro Hugo & Ines hits the stage at St. Ben's and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat hits the stage at the Orpheum. ST. CLOUD -- GREAT Theatre has announced its show schedule for the 2016-2017 season. In honor of what would be Roald Dahl's 100 birthday, two of the shows are based on the influential author's work -- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and James and the Giant Peach. Other notable productions include musical versions of Sister Act and A Christmas Story, the children's classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the popular dinner theatre show, Tony N' Tina's Wedding.

This weekend offers a wide range of entertainment as America's Got Talent stars, The Texas Tenors, hit the stage at the Paramount, a renowned Beatles tribute show comes to the New Century Theatre, an innovative dance company brings its show to the Ordway, a harrowing drama begins its run at St. Ben's, and Mr. Popper's Peguins wraps up its series at St. John's.
