The American Red Cross is putting out an urgent plea for blood donations as the nation's supply suffers a severe shortage due to the coronavirus outbreak.
16 volunteers and one emergency response vehicle from Minnesota have been deployed by the American Red Cross, to help thousands of people impacted by the flooding in Louisiana.
The severe winter weather out east has created an urgent need for blood and platelet donations nationally. Since January 1st more than 300 blood drives across 20 states have resulted in more than 9,500 donations uncollected.
