It’s that time again: Amazon has announced the newest streaming additions coming to Prime Instant Video in August, giving you yet another excuse to procrastinate as you endlessly browse Netflix, Amazon, HBO NOW, et al. for something to watch — before ultimately realizing it’s been two hours and you might as well just watch the third season of Parks and Rec AGAIN. But Amazon will make it easier for you next month, with highlights including recent faves like Inside Llewyn Davis, Blue Ruin and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
By now you should know better than to sleep on that Amazon Prime account and all the new titles added to their streaming service each month. June gives you a chance to catch up with Mr. Robot before the Season 2 premiere in July, along with movies like Apocalypse Now and Carrie, and newer releases like Trumbo and Love & Mercy. Multiple outlets have launched individual standalone options to match that of industry leader Netflix, though Amazon has consistently lagged behind for its streaming service’s tether to an overall Prime rate of $99 per year. No longer, as Amazon Prime launches a far more competitive monthly streaming subscription on par with Netflix, as well as a new Prime rate for shopping.
Wednesday, July 15th, Amazon will be celebrating it's 20th Birthday with "Prime Day." They are claiming they will have even more deals than "Black Friday."
