Support Local Businesses: The Boulder Tap House [LISTEN]

It's more important now more than ever to support local businesses like bars and restaurants during the shut down.

Every weekday morning at 8 a.m. we'll be visiting with a local restaurant operator to find out how they are doing during the pandemic. We'll check-in and find out what specials they're running, how you can order for delivery, take-out our curbside pickup.

Today, were joined on the show by Ray Herrington with The Boulder Tap House in St. Cloud.

They're known for their burgers, 1/3 pound fresh angus beef, flat grilled to order. Herrington says most people think of The Boulder Tap House as a burger, wings and beer joint but they're more than that.

Herrington says they also serve up really great tacos, "we've got really good hand-made tacos. They're pretty different and unique for bar food."

He says one of their best kept secrets are their salads "some people don't know we do salads really well … and they're actually really quick. We can get those out the door very fast."

The restaurant is currently offering up their full menu for pickup and delivery but they're working on a more scaled back COVID-19 friendly menu with food that's easier to order online as well as food that travels best.

Herrington says the best way order your food is by calling the store directly. Otherwise they do offer delivery through third party options like Food Dudes and Grub Hub.

Another great way to support The Boulder Tap House during the bar and restaurant shut down is to purchase gift cards for friends and family during the holiday season. Right now when you buy a $50 gift card, you get a $10 gift card to keep for yourself.

Herrington also owns and operates 7 West TapHouse in St. Cloud. They're running a promotion where you buy a $25 gift card and get $5 to keep for yourself.

He says, "I think it's really important that people understand we really need your support right now. Not just my restaurant but everyone in the restaurant business in town … whether it's to go food or gift cards we could really use your support."
